Low Torque
Some of the lowest torques in the industry results in smaller, less expensive automation packages and more compact space envelope requirements.
PTFE atmospheric seal
The PTFE atmospheric seal protects the valve from the ingress of contaminants into the valve to further protect from corrosion. This part (available in valve sizes < 14") also acts as the centering ring for the ISO 5211 mounting pad.
Blow out proof design
Additional safety to plant personnel is ensured through the fact that the one piece disc and shaft has a blow-out proof system complying with the requirements of API 609.
Protection of triple O-ring backup seal
The body liner extends past the secondary FKM O-ring seals thereby protecting it from the media in case of a leak past the primary seal. This feature provides a second, third and fourth line of protection against atmospheric leakage.
Belleville disc springs
Belleville spring washers are used to live load the shaft seal removing the need for manual adjustments.
Tighter in-line seal
An FKM backing for the body liner provides a tight shut-off. This backing sits in a machined groove in the body. The interference between the backing and the liner creates a radial force against the edge of the disc. Hence, the tight shut-off.
Enclosed bottom; free of springs
The bottom half of the body casting is completely enclosed. There is no potential leak path. Use of seals is avoided. The body and the disc are fully lined in this area preventing media from damaging the metal.
