Global Industry Manager - Pharmaceutical
Crane ChemPharma Flow Solutions is a global business unit with trade sales of approximately $420 Million USD. The Global Industry Manager - Pharmaceutical, will be responsible for driving business growth by establishing and implementing global chemical industry marketing tools and strategies based on a strong understanding and continuous monitoring of industry trends and customer needs. The role will bring clear chemical industry direction to Crane ChemPharma Flow Solutions.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the growth of Crane ChemPharma Flow Solutions by playing an active and communicative role as a member of the Global Sales & Business Development team.
- Prioritize, create and implement detailed pharmaceutical industry process specific marketing strategies/tools and liaise with regional and global management to drive key business activities.
- Identify through strategy development the areas of high potential top line and operating income growth.
- Participate in product portfolio analysis and recommend deletions, additions or extensions to meet the needs of changing market requirements.
- Recommend and support development and implementation of product and service plans tailored to meet customer needs in the complex processes encountered within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Promote and help to implement approved pharmaceutical industry vertical marketing strategies to all regions, worldwide and assist with the development of local (region specific) strategies.
- Identify, track and coordinate resources with regard to priority global pharmaceutical projects.
- Manage key global accounts and global customer agreements within the pharmaceutical industry within a matrix structure of sales, sales management and global account management resources.
- Establish and maintain global information repositories including, but not limited to, segment size, trends, regional evolution, revenue and profit from key accounts, competitor information, standards, directives and technology offerings.
- Through the implementation of industry strategies, assist regional sales teams to achieve sales volume and operating income growth in line with their respective regional business objectives.
- Benchmark competition and develop and implement procedures to track the effectiveness of approved pharmaceutical market sector strategies.
- Ensure the pharmaceutical product portfolio remains competitive by continuously gathering market intelligence regarding competition, products and pricing and communicate this information to the manufacturing facilities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree in a technical/engineering discipline or marketing/business management is required. An advanced degree in marketing, business management or engineering is preferred.
- An outstanding track record of leading growth in a multinational environment, with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Direct experience in managing a multi-product line engineering business with multiple routes to market.
- Successful track record within a dynamic, growth oriented organization.
- Strong leadership and management skills within a multicultural business.
- Strong presence, communication, and interpersonal skills and an ability to motivate and manage at all levels.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Exceptional business judgment and commercial awareness.
- The ability to formulate strategic ideas and translate them into detailed operating plans.
- The ability to work within a matrixed, complex global organization.
- High personal integrity.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
- Candidates are likely to be in a regional or global senior sales or marketing role responsible for a diverse product portfolio or in a full P&L general management role, with responsibility for sales and service of an extensive product portfolio.
- Alternatively candidates may be employed in the engineering or end user sectors preferably in a project management role with a strong background in international projects.
