Xomox History & Background
Additionally, Xomox developed a full line of Fluorocarbon lined (FEP and PFA)
valves for severe chemical applications that would otherwise require highly
corrosion resistant metallic valves such as alloy 20, hastelloy and titanium. A
Teflon lined valve is a cost effective alternative to high alloy constructed
valves. Lined valves are available in plug valve, ball valve, butterfly valve
and check valve designs.
Xomox also introduced a high performance butterfly valve line in the 1970’s and
provides a full line of soft seat and metal seat designs for standard process
as well as high temperature and fire tested applications. This product line is
a critical valve design for a wide variety of applications in the chemical,
pulp and paper, oil refinery and related process industries.
Xomox is truly a global company with major manufacturing facilities located in
Cincinnati, Ohio (World headquarters); Lindau, Germany; Chihuahua, Mexico;
Chennai, India. As such, we manufacture valves to ANSI, JIS and DIN standards
to service these world areas with technically acceptable products.
In June 2001 Xomox was acquired by the
Crane Co.

Stamford, Connecticut. Crane Co. is a worldwide operation which is diversified
in aerospace, engineered materials, merchandising systems, fluid handling, and
